Welcome Message

Avenues Studio Hamptons Families:

I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation and finding time to rest and connect with family. For the last several months, our Studio team has been working closely with Avenues' global COVID response team to plan for the launch of our Studio campus and the start of the new school year.

We are excited to offer a uniquely adaptive and learner-centered program at our Studio Hamptons campus. During the 2020–21 school year, we will structure the Studio experience to maximize in-person learning while prioritizing the health and wellbeing of our community. With ample outdoor space and planned updates to the Hampton Country Day Camp facilities, we are confident we can deliver a world-class learning experience within the context of community health as well as applicable governmental constraints.

This playbook details many of the measures we will take to protect the health of our students and colleagues while on campus. I encourage you to read through it carefully and check back periodically as we will update the site as new information becomes available that may impact or change our plans. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about this playbook or specific concerns regarding your child's return to school.

Our ability to bring our community together for in-person learning at the Studio will depend greatly on the actions of our entire community—colleagues, students and parents alike. We all have a personal responsibility to do our part to try to stay healthy and help others stay healthy. This includes practicing proper social distancing each and every day, wearing masks when in public, staying home if we feel unwell, quarantining if there has been exposure to a confirmed case of COVID, and maintaining proper handwashing and other hygiene measures. By committing to do what is required, at home and at school, we can all help to create the conditions for our students to learn and our communities to stay safe.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We eagerly await to launch a new school year and a new campus with you.

All the best,

Maggie Wollner

Head of Studio
